Women's Voices Now

As young children,

we knew

what we wanted

and how we were going

to get there. 

Time passed.

We were channeled

into tightly scripted shoes

of "Do's" and "Do Nots". 

This was particularly true

for Girls and Women

in a culture

which elevated

the Male

above all else. 

I am soon

to be 63

and I am pleased

to report

that the scripts

are being tossed away. 

That fire

the Young Child

knew

still burns bright

inside of Me. 

This time,

it is not going

to be denied.

The World needs

unfettered Women's Voices Now.
