Lessons on Time
In the middle of the flurry regarding kitchen renovation, I reflected on
"time". My culture views time in a linear fashion: a minute only comes
once; once you spend it, it is lost forever. Such an orientation
builds in stress, sometimes panic. I am trying to view each minute as
having its own eternity, its own blessings, its own gift. I shall focus
on only what I can get done in that minute. I shall celebrate it too.
Sometimes, we forget to have fun in the middle of such lofty projects.
We are creating a kitchen which is the heart and soul of the home. I
have never really had a "new kitchen". I am excited and blessed. I
think this little farm house is smiling too.
