Cosmos

These days, the Cosmos is radiant. I love Cosmos. Mother tells me that this Old Flower was enjoyed by earlier Gardeners in my Family. I love the soft feathery, almost fern-like Foliage. Those whimsical Flowers on their long slender Stems dance in the gentle Breezes.

In these parts, the Cosmos show comes late in the Summer and early Fall. At this Season, the Garden is beginning to take on touches of Brown, as Plants complete their Life Cycle. Just as Cosmos is turning up the lights, the Fall is coming in. With that 1st frost, the Flowers will be gone and the Browns will take their turn in preparation for Winter Slumber. Assuming all goes according to Nature's Plan, New Life begins yet again in the Spring.

That 1st frost (around October 10) is still a while away. As is our intent, we shall enjoy every day.
