Growing

Lacey's Babes are growing. At brief glance, they sometimes look all grown up. Of course, we look again and they are still little.

We have had a Cooper's Hawk cruise the yard in the last 2 days. At 1 point, the Hawk was closely eyeing Lacey and her Littles hiding underneath a small Silver Maple at the back of the Garden. That characteristic Alarm Call of the Chickens meant the Humans came running. The Hawk was quickly gone.

In the middle of all the doin's these days on the Farm, we have our Eyes up to watch for the Hawk. We have our Ears listening for that Alarm Call.
