Sorghum Cane Weeded

July 10:

The Sorghum Cane stands tall and proud on this hot July day. We have carefully hand weeded the 16 rows. (Yes, hand-weeded.) That's 2400 linear feet.

Assuming all goes well, the Sorghum Cane will be used in the making of Molasses by the Crawford Family this fall. Gardeners and Farmers of the Land seem to celebrate the success of every step. But they also recognize we are vulnerable to a Force far greater than ourselves. How very small we are.
